The culinary scene in Newmarket is a treat! I savored some delightful Italian dishes that were out of this world, and the self-serve continental breakfast was a great start with quality produce. Spotless room and our charming host Vanessa made it feel like home.

The only hiccup was a light bedroom, thanks to the blinds, but it offered a lovely view of the paddocks too. Plus, the wi-fi dropped occasionally, but it was still alright.

The breakfast was full of homemade cakes and pastries and it felt like home having coffee in the lovely garden area. Vanessa was welcoming, opened the door with a smile, and made every effort to make my stay comfortable.

Rooms lack basic amenities like locks on the doors, hairdryers, and space for damp towels, which can feel frustrating, especially with no place to hang clothes in the shared bathroom. The breakfast setup is subpar, with shared jars of jam that raise cleanliness concerns and only offering limited cereal and toast options, leaving many guests dissatisfied. There's merely a smoke alarm on the landing, making fire safety a worry without proper precautions in place.
